The XVIIth Legion was founded as an emergency legion whose primary purpose is to be the vanguard in the defense of Garlemald, in any case of either, civil war or invasion from foreign threats.

 

Funded and established in secret by certain individuals whose party alignment shall not be distinguished. The primary goal of the Legion is to defend the people of Garlemald, from any who would do harm to her people.

 

It is not blood that unites us, but duty to be the defenders of Garlemald in whatever time of need, whenever it arises. For it is not the flag that makes the people, but the people that makes the flag. Even if cities are lost, they can be rebuilt. But if a people are lost, then any hope of the nation to survive are lost with them.
